WUJACKERS brings the energy for Day 2 of the World Labour Day Celebration: Rain Rave Water Music Festival 2026

WUJACKERS spearheaded the second night of the World Labour Day Celebration: Rain Rave Water Music Festival 2026 in Bukit Bintang, drawing fans from across ASEAN to Kuala Lumpur.

Night two featured a flash mob at the Rhythm of Flavours food market, leading into an extended programme of Malaysian DJs and cultural dance segments. Malaysian girl group De Fam performed ahead of the Symphony of Water and Light sequence, showcasing synchronised lighting effects and water cannons.

The event was certified by Asia Records as the “Largest Urban Tourism Cultural and Music Festival in 2026,” with the Kuala Lumpur edition running alongside versions in Negeri Sembilan, Johor, Melaka, Kedah, WP Labuan, and Terengganu, reinforcing its importance as a nationwide tourism initiative under Visit Malaysia 2026.

A HEADLINE ACT WITH A REGIONAL FOLLOWING

WUJACKERS, a new team of Bassjackers and Wukong, made their debut at Rain Rave on the main stage, attracting fans from Europe and Asia. Bassjackers often perform at major festivals like Tomorrowland, Ultra Miami, and EDC Las Vegas, while Wukong is known in Asia for his unique Oriental Rave music. Three lucky fans got to meet them in person during an exclusive Meet & Greet, which included taking photos.

Before their performance, international DJ Lovezy from the Philippines played, and the night continued with Malaysian acts until the final set. Throughout the three-day festival, artists from Asia and Europe performed, including DJ Pixzy from Thailand and DJ Yoyo from China on the first night, and on the last night, there were acts like Moskilove from Indonesia, DJ Loa from South Korea, and DJ Miji from China.

STRENGTHENING MALAYSIA’S POSITION ON ASIA’S FESTIVAL CIRCUIT

The festival crowd over the long weekend showed how popular the line-up was, with people coming from all over ASEAN to join the Water Music Festival in Kuala Lumpur. Throughout Bukit Bintang, hotels, restaurants, and shops were ready to welcome visitors, and some hotels offered special Rain Rave stay packages to encourage spending in the local area. The festival also created short-term jobs in areas like event management, security, logistics, technical services, performances, and operations, while giving local vendors, performers, and suppliers the chance to earn money during the three-day event.

As part of the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign, the World Labour Day Celebration: Rain Rave Water Music Festival 2026 combines international music acts, Malaysian food, crafts, and traditional cultural performances. This aligns with VM2026’s goal of providing more unique experiences for visitors. The Day Two schedule shows how international entertainment can boost tourism spending and benefit local businesses and creatives. The festival is part of a wider tourism plan that goes beyond just one year, helping to bring visitor money into different states across the country and supporting the hospitality, food and beverage, retail, and creative industries nationwide.
