Taiwanese biotechnology wellness company UVACO has launched its operations in Malaysia by opening an office in Bangsar South. This move makes Malaysia an important overseas market and a gateway for future growth in Southeast Asia. The launch combines Grape King Bio’s research and manufacturing strengths with a range of products focused on health supplements, nutrition, and wellness essentials for everyday use. It shows the company’s belief in Malaysia’s growing wellness market and its potential as a regional center.
Malaysia was chosen for its great location, active economy, and increasing interest among consumers in preventive health. A survey by Vodus Research in 2026 found that the main reasons Malaysians take supplements are for immunity (55%) and energy (43%). These factors create a perfect setting for UVACO to introduce its wellness solutions based on biotechnology and to strengthen its global presence.
“Today marks an important milestone in UVACO’s development in Malaysia, and the beginning of a new chapter for us,” said Ms. Grace Tseng, Chief Executive Officer of UVACO Global. “This centre is more than an operational base — it is an important platform for serving our consumers, supporting our partners, and engaging with the local community. We are committed to operating with integrity, drawing on our parent group’s research and manufacturing strength to continue offering high-quality products, while listening closely to the needs of this market. We look forward to growing steadily in Malaysia and building UVACO into a brand that Malaysian families can trust and welcome into their everyday lives.”
“As the team on the ground, we will work hand in hand with the government, industry associations and partners across Malaysia to build a business platform that is both locally rooted and globally minded. We will also continue to strengthen our member services, training and business support, standing alongside every partner as they grow, so that we can build a trusted and lasting presence in this market for the long term.” said Mr. Marco Chen, General Manager of UVACO Malaysia.
The launch ceremony was attended by representatives from TECO, TAITRA, business partners, and guests, highlighting the strong economic ties between Malaysia and Taiwan and marking UVACO’s entry into the Malaysian market.
“The launch of UVACO in Malaysia reflects the growing confidence of Taiwanese businesses in Malaysia as a strategic market for regional expansion. As economic and people-to-people ties between Taiwan and Malaysia continue to strengthen, we welcome initiatives that bring Taiwanese innovation and biotechnology expertise while fostering deeper collaboration between our two economies,” said Mr. James Buu, Deputy Representative, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia.
UVACO aims to use Malaysia as a base to work with local partners and expand educational efforts, community involvement, and access to wellness solutions powered by biotechnology worldwide.
