New HiLight feature allows notifications without looking at your screen
Exclusive to Pixel 11 Pro devices, HiLight features ambient LED lights around the camera flash for light-based alerts on the back of the phone. When the phone is face down, HiLight gently glows to remind you to pick it up or to stay focused. Google is launching this exciting combination of advanced hardware and smart software with two useful daily applications:
1. Calls from Favourite Contacts: HiLight complements Pixel’s Flip to Shhh capability when the phone is face down to gently alert you with customised colour glows for incoming cals from Favourite Contacts, giving you glanceable, timely information. This feature is integrated with Phone by Google and WhatsApp so your Favourite Contact’s custom colours can be consistent regardless of how they are trying to cal you.
2. Interactions with Gemini: For confident, hands-free quick interactions with Gemini, HiLight pulses with a soft visual cue to indicate when Gemini is listening, thinking and responding without you having to look at your screen.
Improved Battery and charging
The Pixel 11 series is designed to keep up with your busy days. With Adaptive Battery, your Pixel can last over 30 hours (or more than 24 hours on the big screens of Pro Fold). It learns which apps you use the most and saves power on the ones you rarely open.
If you need a quick charge, Pixel’s ultra-fast wired charging can give you a big battery boost in just a few minutes. In about 30 minutes, you can get up to 75% charge on Pro XL, 55% on Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro, and 50% on Pro Fold.
