Malaysians who want to understand their protection needs can get a chance to receive 12 months of free Group Term Takaful (GTT) coverage with a coverage amount of RM10,000 by joining Sun Life Malaysia’s ‘Protection with Purpose’ roadshow and completing a protection assessment. Ten winners will be chosen at each roadshow location, totaling 30 winners across three locations. This offer comes with terms and conditions.
After a successful first stop at IOI City Mall in July, which attracted over 470 visitors, the roadshow is designed to help Malaysians see if their current insurance or takaful coverage is enough to protect themselves and their loved ones from unexpected events.

According to Sun Life Malaysia’s Insurance Literacy Survey 2026, although 59% of Malaysians feel they have enough protection, only 35% believe they could manage for more than six months if their main income stopped. This shows that Malaysians need to take charge of their financial security by regularly checking their protection coverage.
With the theme “Insured and Truly Protected,” the roadshow motivates individuals and families to review their coverage, find potential gaps, and feel more confident in making smart financial choices as their lives change. The roadshow is open to everyone, especially those looking to reassess their financial protection needs and strengthen their financial security.
“Many Malaysians may have some form of insurance or takaful coverage, but they may not realise that their protection needs change as they progress through different life stages,” said Ho Teck Seng, President & Country Head of Sun Life Malaysia. “Through the ‘Protection with Purpose’ Roadshow, we hope to help more Malaysians gain greater clarity on their financial needs and take meaningful steps to protect their financial wellbeing.”
At each roadshow stop, visitors can participate in complimentary one-on-one protection assessments with Sun Life Malaysia advisors to evaluate their protection needs and existing coverage.
Sun Life Malaysia’s ‘Protection with Purpose’ Roadshow offers complimentary health screenings and protection assessments. After a successful first stop, the roadshow will visit IOI Mall Puchong, Carnival Court, from 12 to 16 August 2026, followed by 1 Utama Shopping Centre in September 2026.
In addition to financial consultations, visitors can enjoy health screenings for blood glucose, cholesterol, and uric acid, participate in interactive games, and have a chance to win prizes through the ‘Spin The Sun’ challenge.
The roadshow also features exclusive promotions from partners like Yogurt Planet and IJN First Pharmacy, emphasizing Sun Life Malaysia’s commitment to enhancing financial literacy and protection knowledge, having reached over 4,900 individuals since its inception in 2024.
