SKILLDRVN OMR 2026 Season 4 kicks off at Petronas Sepang International Circuit with inaugural debut of Pro Series campaign

The SKILLDRVN OMR 2026 Season 4 starts with Round 1 on 16-17 May 2026 at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit. This season features 15 Suzuki Swift race cars: 4 Pro Series and 11 OMR Series entries. Season 4 showcases the ongoing success of the OMR platform after four years of competitive racing.

The championship focuses on fairness and equal machinery, prioritizing driver skill and creating a sustainable, low-cost environment that makes motorsport more accessible to diverse talents. In addition, OMR is establishing an all-new motorsport ecosystem aimed at educating and developing new racers, offering a structured pathway into competitive racing and nurturing the next generation of drivers within the industry.

This season is significant as OMR will have its own dedicated standing start for the first time, a major milestone achieved through dedicated growth in motorsport. The championship promotes affordable racing in a fair environment, allowing more drivers to experience professional-level motorsport at lower costs.

The 2026 calendar includes five rounds, each with two sprint races. Fans can expect an exciting format, starting with a rolling start for the first race and a standing start for the second, ensuring thrilling competition throughout the weekend.

Pro Series Introduces a New Level of Competition

One of the key highlights of SKILLDRVN OMR 2026 Season 4 is the introduction of the Pro Series category, aimed at enhancing competition while promoting affordable grassroots racing.

The Pro Series features team-owned Suzuki Swift race cars with upgraded drivetrains, improved suspensions, and better handling. This allows drivers to perform at a higher level of precision.

Additionally, the Pro Series serves as a development pathway for talented OMR drivers, with professional teams selecting standout competitors to represent their brands.

For the 2026 season, four major teams and sponsors have officially confirmed their driver line-ups:

  • BENDIX ULTIMATE RACING TEAM – #888 Teoh Cheong Liong
  • PROFIMAX RACING TEAM – #27 Andy Boey Kai Jin
  • TEAM ULTRA RACING – #331 Loke Yin Yi
  • ELF EVOLUTION TEAM –  #168 Vox Lim Keng Jun

Season 4 will be the inaugural Pro Series campaign for all four selected drivers, representing a significant milestone in their careers as they enter a more competitive environment. The Pro Series enhances the championship’s goal of establishing a structured motorsport platform that fosters driver development and provides thrilling racing for both fans and participants.

Qualifying

The excitement kicked off during qualifying as drivers tried their best to get the top spots for Race Day.

In the OMR Pro Series, current champion #331 Loke Yin Yi took the pole position for the first-ever self-organized OMR Pro Series, showing she’s still in great form from last season.

In the OMR Series, #512 Imran wowed everyone with a great performance and earned pole position ahead of Race Day.

Race 1

Race 1 kicked off with drivers getting ready in the pit lane and heading out for the formation lap, as fans looked forward to the first-ever start of the OMR Pro Series.

The rolling start was led by pole sitter #331 Loke Yin Yi, who took the Pro Series drivers into Turn 1. In the OMR Series, #512 Imran started strong and quickly defended his lead against challenges from G Young and Rafin.

The first few laps were full of excitement with lots of overtakes and fierce battles. On Lap 2, #671 Zack and #704 Rafin passed #52 G Young, pushing him backward as the middle of the pack fought hard.

One standout performance came from #791 Seow Chee Fong, who surged from the back of the grid to 4th place by Lap 3, marking a significant comeback.

In the Pro Series, #27 Andy Boey made a bold move on Lap 4 to pass Yin Yi and briefly took the lead, setting up an intense competition at the front. The climax of the race came on the final lap when #331 Yin Yi and #168 Vox Lim made late attempts to overtake #27 Andy Boey in a thrilling finish that captivated fans until the end.

The race also had several dramatic moments, including spins, collisions, and mechanical issues that challenged both drivers and teams. Despite the stress around him, #512 Imran stayed calm and focused, delivering a strong performance to win the OMR Series.

Race 2

Race 2 kept the excitement going with even more intense racing from the start.

Once again, #331 Loke Yin Yi led the Pro Series but faced tough competition as others fought hard for better positions. In the OMR Series, #512 Imran showed great speed by staying in the lead while others battled in the midfield.

A big moment came early when #791 Seow Chee Fong made bold moves to pass both #52 G Young and #704 Rafin, climbing to second place and impressing the crowd. However, Rafin came back strong on Lap 3, regaining second place after overtaking both #791 and #52 in a thrilling three-car fight.

In the Pro Series, #27 Andy Boey kept up the pace by passing #168 Vox Lim for second place and then set the fastest lap of the race at 2:49.662 on Lap 5, quickly closing in on race leader #331 Yin Yi.

The action at the front didn’t slow down as #168 Vox Lim made another important pass on Andy to move into second place, making the Pro Series competition even more exciting.

With constant overtakes and fierce racing from start to finish, both Race 1 and Race 2 provided endless thrill and showed how competitive the OMR Pro Series and OMR Series are becoming.
