Planta Malaysia has recently launched “A Spoonful of Goodness” during at its Pre-Ramadan gathering at POKOK Lalaport. The campaign is celebrating the belief that small actions can create impact through food and shared values as the brand invites Malaysians to discover how goodness can begin with a simple spoonful.

Guests at the event enjoyed the Planta Taste Lab Experience, an engaging journey that featured the new Planta Nutri-Buttery. They participated in interactive tasting stations to create their own flavor pairings, ranging from traditional spreads to local-inspired tastes, promoting exploration through taste, smell, and texture. The campaign’s message was brought to life through this sensory adventure.

Opening speech by Mr Inura Jayasuriya, the Head of Marketing of South East Asia and Far East Asia of Flora Food Group

“At Planta, we believe goodness doesn’t have to be complicated. It starts in the kitchen, with the choices we make every day. When those choices are shared, they can go far beyond the table,” said Mr Inura Jayasuriya, the Head of Marketing of South and Far East Asia of Flora Food Group.

Turning Good Intentions Into Action

This Ramadan, A Spoonful of Goodness goes beyond cooking with community pledges made with partners and organizations:

● Supporting charity homes: Planta will provide a one-year supply of Planta products to selected charity homes, supporting their daily cooking needs throughout the year.
● Meal donation via social media: Through a social media–driven initiative, for every public Instagram Story shared using the campaign template, Planta will match it with one meal donated to the Food Aid Foundation.
● Empowering local bakers: In collaboration with FoodAid-preneurs and local bakers, Planta will support the production of butter cakes, celebrating local flavours while supporting livelihoods.
● Food recovery and redistribution: Together with MySaveFood, Planta is exploring food recovery efforts to safely redirect surplus food from Ramadan bazaars to communities in need.

“These pledges reflect our belief that doing good works best when we do it together,” added Mr Inura Jayasuriya. “Food has the power to nourish, to connect, and to create opportunity.”
