DRB-HICOM Auto Solutions Sdn. Bhd. (DHAS) has been recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records for having the “Largest Implementation of In-Plant Smart Vehicle Tracking System” with its DHAS Vehicle Tracking System (“DVTS”). This achievement is a key step in the company’s push for digital improvements to boost efficiency.

The DVTS, developed locally, uses Long Range Wide Area Network (“LoRaWAN”), GPS tracking devices, geofencing, and a centralized digital monitoring system to better track vehicle locations and movements in its yards.
The system has minimized manual tracking, accelerated vehicle identification, and enhanced the accuracy of vehicle movement records, leading to quicker deliveries. It has been implemented at DHAS’ Vehicle Processing Centre yards in Port Klang Free Zone, Selangor, and Pekan, Pahang. At PKFZ, covering around 33 acres, the DVTS facilitates the monitoring and coordination of vehicles across various zones, including receiving, storage, processing, and delivery.
DVTS also provides dashboards, reporting, and analytics to support resource planning, operational decision-making and service delivery.

Commenting on the achievement, Fawzi Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer of DHAS, said:
“The Malaysia Book of Records recognition is an important milestone for DHAS and will certainly encourage us to push harder in our continuing efforts to strengthen our operations through technology.
“DVTS enables us to manage vehicles more efficiently and accurately while improving visibility across our operations. This achievement reflects our commitment to delivering better service to our customers and business partners.”
