CMF announced the CMF Speaker Series, its first lineup of portable speakers, which includes the CMF Speaker S and CMF Speaker M. This series features CMF’s unique geometric design, good sound quality, durability, and easy connectivity for everyday listening.
Both Speaker S and Speaker M are made to provide sound that fits their sizes while having a thoughtful design and simple connections. Speaker S is compact for easy transport, while Speaker M offers a bigger and more powerful sound, making it user-friendly.
Speaker S is the grab-and-go companion, designed for travel. Its compact form fits into bags, clips onto straps, or hangs from a carabiner, putting music in your hand. Speaker M scales up this design for the center of a room or gathering, featuring an integrated handle for easy movement from kitchen to patio. Both come in White, Dark Grey, Orange, and Turquoise, with swappable panels and knobs, supporting customizable, 3D-printable designs.
Speaker S uses a specially designed 45 mm full-range driver and two passive radiators, producing up to 10W RMS output from 70Hz to 20kHz. Speaker M features a more advanced design with two drivers, a strong 25W woofer, and a 10W tweeter, giving 35W RMS output across 60Hz to 20kHz. This results in deeper bass, clearer highs, and better separation of voices and instruments. Both speakers use a smart Adaptive Tuning system that analyzes sound quality and adjusts it automatically, so you don’t need to use an app. The Ultra Bass feature provides strong low-end sound, Wide Soundstage creates a spacious audio experience, and four custom EQ settings—Balanced, More Bass, More Treble, and Voice—allow users to adjust the sound to their liking using the Nothing X app.
For shared listening, you can connect two Speaker S units or two Speaker M units to create a true left-and-right Stereo Mode. The Party Mode, which uses Auracast technology, lets multiple compatible speakers play music at the same time, including models from different brands, perfect for anything from a desk setup to enjoying a day at the beach or a bonfire.
Both speakers connect easily using Bluetooth 6.0 and allow for quick pairing with NFC, Google Fast Pair, and Microsoft Swift Pair. You can connect two devices at the same time, so switching from your phone to your laptop is simple and doesn’t require reconnecting. USB-C audio provides low-latency playback for music, movies, and gaming. The Auto Wake Up feature lets the speaker go into standby when not in use and wake up automatically when a connected device is nearby.
You can control everything using the speaker itself: a knob lets you control playback, track selection, volume, and Ultra Bass, while there are buttons for power, Bluetooth pairing, and Auracast. Both models are IP68 rated, meaning they are dust and water-resistant and can be submerged in up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes. They offer up to 18 hours of playback at 50% volume with Ultra Bass on, and a quick 10-minute charge gives you about an hour of listening time.
