Apple has unveiled the iPhone 17, featuring improvements on cameras, display with high refresh rate, durability and performance.
The new Centre Stage front camera that enhances the photo and video experience with a square sensor, wider field of view, and up to 18MP resolution. Users can take landscape selfies without rotating their iPhone, capturing in both vertical and horizontal orientations. For group shots, AI expands the view to include everyone, while ultra-stabilised 4K HDR video is available with Dual Capture to record front and rear simultaneously. During FaceTime or third-party calls, Centre Stage keeps users stable and centred in the frame.

The device now features dual 48MP rear cameras for stunning photos and videos. The 48MP Fusion Main camera captures sharp details, while the integrated 2x Telephoto acts like two cameras in one. The new 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera offers up to 4x the resolution of its predecessor, providing more detail for wider-angle shots and macro photography. Next-generation Photographic Styles let users customize photos by adjusting color, highlights, and shadows in real time, with a new Bright style coming with iOS 26 to enhance skin tones and add vibrance.
The iPhone 17 records stunning 4K60 fps Dolby Vision video with creative features like Cinematic and Action modes. It captures audio with Spatial Audio for immersion, while Audio Mix allows users to adjust sound, boosting voices and reducing ambient noise. Wind noise reduction minimizes unwanted sounds.

The device now showcases significant display enhancements with a sleek contoured edge. Featuring a 6.3-inch size, it has thinner borders and a remarkable Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion, offering an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz for smooth efficiency. The Always-On display lets you see the time, widgets, and Live Activities at a glance, adjusting down to 1Hz when idle.

The device now gets Ceramic Shield 2 with a new Apple-designed coating for 3x better scratch resistance and improved anti-reflection to reduce glare. It is also easy to use iPhone 17 outside thanks to 3000 nits peak outdoor brightness — the highest ever on iPhone — and 2x better outdoor contrast.
Built on third-generation 3-nanometer technology, A19 delivers impressive performance and efficiency, with a 6-core CPU that’s 1.5x faster and a 5-core GPU more than 2x faster than the A15 Bionic. It features an updated display engine and supports advanced capabilities like Apple Intelligence and Photographic Styles. Battery life sees a boost, with up to 30 hours of video playback thanks to iOS 26’s Adaptive Power Mode, which intelligently conserves power. Additionally, iPhone 17 introduces the N1 chip for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and improved performance for Personal Hotspot and AirDrop.
iOS 26 enhances the iPhone experience with a stunning new design, powerful Apple Intelligence features, and key improvements to essential apps. The Liquid Glass design makes apps more expressive while maintaining familiarity. Apple Intelligence enables Live Translation for text and audio, facilitating communication across languages in Messages, FaceTime, and Phone. Users can capture screenshots and easily search or act on their screen content with new visual intelligence updates. The on-device model of Apple Intelligence is accessible to developers, providing apps with intelligent, privacy-focused features usable offline. New tools for screening calls and messages reduce distractions, allowing users to engage in important conversations. iOS 26 also brings new features to CarPlay, Apple Music, Maps, Wallet, and introduces Apple Games, a centralized hub for all games.
