Canalys has released a report confirming that Xiaomi has secured the top position among smartphone vendors in Malaysia for Q1 2025, with an 18% unit share in shipments and an 11% annual growth.

Eddie Huang, Country Manager for Xiaomi Malaysia, expressed his gratitude to Malaysian users for their continuous support. “We’re incredibly thankful to our Malaysian customers for their ongoing trust and loyalty. This achievement reflects not only our strength in innovation and product development, but also the meaningful connection we’ve built with our local community. We remain committed to delivering accessible, high-performance smartphones that enhance the daily lives of our users.”

Xiaomi’s dual-brand strategy fuels its market momentum through its key smartphone lines – Xiaomi and Redmi. The Xiaomi 15 series offers flagship performance for premium users, while the Redmi Note 14 series provides reliable, high-performance devices at accessible prices. Together, these lines reflect Xiaomi’s mission to meet the diverse needs of Malaysian consumers.

“In 2025, we have made a significant foray into the ultra-premium market, both for our smartphones and AIoT lineups” Huang added. “We are continuously pushing the boundaries of what technology can deliver in terms of performance, design, and user experience. These flagship innovations represent our commitment to elevating everyday living through smart, premium solutions that are still accessible.”
