HIP HOP/R&B girl group XG held their first world tour, “XG 1st WORLD TOUR ‘The first HOWL'”, at Osaka-Jo Hall.
The shows featured unique cover songs, reimagined versions of their tracks, and songs from their “XG TAPE” rap content series and “XG VOX” vocal content series. Chief producer, JAKOPS, showcased the group’s evolution from trainee days to present with a blend of R&B classics and Japanese favourites. XG also surprised fans with a double encore, unveiling their new single “WOKE UP” for the first time.
On 21 May 2024, XG’s fifth single “WOKE UP” was officially available in both CD BOX and digital formats. Limited edition vinyl reservations open on May 22nd at 12PM JST here. The track’s innovative fusion of 808 bass and distinct East Asian elements showcases XG’s rap prowess and unapologetic hip-hop identity.
The official music video features XG members transforming into fierce wolves, challenging stereotypes and boundaries.
XG will continue their “XG 1st WORLD TOUR ‘The first HOWL'” at K Arena Yokohama on May 25th and 26th, with stops in multiple Asian cities throughout July and August, with additional dates planned across Greater China, North America, Oceania, South America, and Europe.
