
World Aquatics and Sony Corporation have formed a four-year Official Partnership through 2028 to revolutionize how fans engage with aquatic sports. This collaboration starts with the World Aquatics Swimming Championships (25m) in Budapest from December 10-15 and continues with the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore from July 11 to August 3, 2025.
World Aquatics oversees six aquatic sports and aims for a united vision through water. Sony’s mission focuses on using technology to enhance entertainment. Together, they will promote aquatic sports globally, employing Sony’s advanced technology for capturing athletes’ achievements.
Hawk-Eye Innovations will support fair competition with video replay services, while Sony photographers will document key moments at events. A new platform for aquatics imagery launches in late December, showcasing highlights and exclusive medallist photos.
World Aquatics President Husain Al-Musallam expressed excitement for the partnership, emphasizing its potential to enhance visibility and inspire audiences. Sony’s President Kimio Maki echoed the commitment to leverage technology for the growth of aquatic sports and fan engagement.
