vivo Malaysia donates RM7,420 to Pan-Disability Football Club; thanks to vivo Dream Field Campaign

vivo Malaysia has announced a donation total of RM7,420 to the Pan-Disability Football Club through a one-month crowdfunding vivo Dream Field Campaign. The support will be use by the community towards building a dedicated training centre and facilities for disability football in Malaysia.

“vivo stands firm on its belief of empowering communities, especially underserved ones, in support of enabling them to weather through these difficult times. With the collected funds, we hope to contribute towards helping the differently-abled footballers in Pan-Disability Football Club to enable them to have a better training ground to showcase the fiery sportsmanship spirit within them,” said Mike Xu, Chief Executive Officer of vivo Malaysia.

As the UEFA EURO 2020 official partner, vivo has been helping to encourage and enable people around the world to be in the moment and get closer to the action as they connect and celebrate with friends, family, and fellow fans. Under the vivo Care Programme, the vivo Dream Field campaign is one of vivo Malaysia’s activations surrounding the EURO 2020 tournament. It aims to empower and assist vulnerable communities across Malaysia while bringing to life vivo’s passion for making every moment more magical for its users.

“It was a great experience for us to be part of this vivo Dream Field campaign and to share our visions with everyone. Thank you vivo Malaysia for bringing us closer to the goal of accessing better facilities,” said Fakri Raimi, an amputee football player from the Pan-Disability Football Club.

Founder of Pan-Disability Football Club, Sunny Shalesh added, “We genuinely appreciate the given opportunity to work with vivo Malaysia, especially during these difficult times. As we are currently fundraising to build a dedicated training centre for the differently-abled athletes, the received funds will help to minimise the gap towards realising that goal while also enabling the players to explore different employment opportunities too.”
