Viu is bringing viewers into a darker world with The Hidden Hand (Dia Perempuan Sialan), the first Viu Original horror series premiering exclusively on Viu starting September 22, 2026, every Tuesday and Wednesday. In conjunction with Malaysia Day, the first episode of this drama was also exclusively aired on September 18.
This 12-episode series blends supernatural horror, thriller, and Malay folklore into a gripping story of revenge, exploring themes of family, betrayal, and vengeance, while adding a fresh perspective to Viu Malaysia’s original content.
Based on the original idea by Eirma Fatima, published by Rumah Karya Citra, written by Siti Jasmina Ibrahim and directed by Nur Ain Sharif, The Hidden Hand (That Damn Woman) stars Meerqeen, Caitlin Halderman, and Hannah Delisha, along with Datin Sri Umie Aida, Nadia Aqilah, Farah Ahmad, and Amerul Affendi.
About the series
After cruelly mistreating her maid, Bulan (Farah Ahmad), Puan Sri Asyikin (Datin Sri Umie Aida) dies mysteriously eight months later, leading her family to believe their home is cursed.
Following Puan Sri’s death, her daughter, Nerina (Hannah Delisha), and son-in-law, Syawal (Meerqeen), continue to reside in the family mansion. On the day of Puan Sri’s funeral, a new domestic helper named Riska (Caitlin Halderman) arrives. Syawal had hired Riska to care for Nerina, who is pregnant with their first child.
Beneath her sweet, innocent face and gentle demeanor, Riska hides a dark secret: she is actually Bulan’s daughter and has deliberately infiltrated the household to exact revenge.
However, as supernatural disturbances begin to plague the house, the situation spirals out of control—leaving even Riska unprepared for what is to come.
