Viu has announced its sixth drama series for 2025, Seadanya Kita (Unexpectedly Yours) as the 15-episode romantic drama starts on 7 August 2025, with new episodes released on Thursdays and Fridays.

This series is being led by two of Malaysia’s most beloved stars’ talents, Emma Maembong and Mierul Aiman (W: Two Worlds), which is their first on-screen collaboration. They are joined by Shahz Jaszle, Nelissa Nizam, Ara Johari, Yasmin Hani, Anas Ridzuan and Mikael Noah.
Directed by Feroz Kader and produced by Global Film Station, Seadanya Kita aligns with Viu’s focus on emotionally rich and locally relevant storytelling. Feroz, returning to Viu Malaysia after Pabila Dia Tersenyum, brings his expertise to this series.

Seadanya Kita tells the story of Alani (Emma Maembong), a single mother trying to rebuild her life after her husband, Farouk (Shaz Jaszle), leaves her and their child, Iqi (Mikael Noah). Just as her life begins to stabilize, Farouk’s unexpected return threatens the peace she has built.
Then there is Kerol (Mierul Aiman), a young rocker with a troubled past, who meets Alani through work. Their professional relationship slowly grows into something deeper as Kerol finds comfort in the family that Alani has built. Unbeknownst to Alani, Kerol becomes a new figure in Iqi’s life.
Caught between giving Farouk a second chance, protecting her son from further heartbreak, and navigating a new, unconventional love with Kerol, Alani must confront the emotional wounds she thought she had left behind.

The series OST is sang by Syamel titled “Berakhir Kita”.
Imillya Irwani Roslan, Director of Production Viu Malaysia said, “We are incredibly excited to bring our latest series Seadanya Kita to our viewers. This brilliant addition to our romantic drama slate marks the first time Mierul Aiman and Emma Maembong share the screen. Their undeniable on-screen chemistry is a true highlight, bringing depth and authenticity to this heartfelt story that explores love, family, and the timeless question of whether age truly is just a number.”
