Visit Malaysia 2026 Countdown Festival taking place at Pavilion KL with synchronised fireworks, lights, lasers, 3D anamorphic display and star-powered lineup light up the city 

The Visit Malaysia 2026 Countdown Festival will take place at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur on the night of 31 December 2025, from 7pm onwards. This event is being organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture and The Fame Events, with help from Tourism Malaysia. It aims to kick off an exciting year and highlight the national campaign through a display of culture, creativity, and togetherness.

During the New Year’s Eve Countdown, there will be a synchronized show of fireworks, laser lights, and a special 3D moment featuring the campaign’s friendly Malayan Sun Bear mascots, Wira and Manja, who will welcome everyone into the New Year.

Visitors can look forward to a fun evening filled with performances and cultural displays that showcase Malaysia’s diversity and talent. The celebration will feature a large lineup of artists, including Shila Amzah, Aina Abdul, Belle Sisoski, Vanessa Reynauld, Kidd Santhe, The Kuans, Nazu, Danson Ooi, Euzen, and Penny. They will deliver an exciting mix of music, tradition, and modern entertainment on the main stage.

The Visit Malaysia 2026 Countdown Festival aims to highlight Malaysia on the global stage. It will be the first big event leading into the country’s tourism year, drawing in both local audiences and international visitors.

An early start to the celebration

In the days leading up to the celebration, two exciting events will take place. The Visit Malaysia 2026 Bazaar at Pavilion Bukit Jalil will happen from 26-31 December 2025, and the Visit Malaysia 2026 Arts & Culture Showcase at Fahrenheit 88 will be from 27-31 December 2025. Together, they will feature local food, crafts, performances, and cultural experiences for everyone to enjoy.

The Visit Malaysia 2026 Countdown Festival has support from Tourism Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur City Hall, along with Istana Budaya, the National Department for Culture and Arts, the Department of National Heritage, and the Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation as partners.
