Virtual Sepang 1000km powered by Castrol amplifies Malaysian youth’s interest on simracing with endurance format

The Virtual Sepang 1000km powered by Castrol has officially concluded on last weekend as it is the official virtual companion to the Sepang 1000 KM endurance race weekend at Sepang International Circuit. The event is sanctioned by the Motorsports Association of Malaysia under FIA International Sporting Code, MAM National Competition Rules and the event Sporting Regulations.

The event requires participants to race in a single make category using the WTCC Honda Civic on the RaceRoom Evo platform, run in a seven (7) hour simracing format. A maximum of ten (10) teams will be accepted.

Teams may register three or four drivers. Drivers must be at least sixteen years (16) old and hold a valid MAM Esports Competition Licence. Foreign drivers require a licence issued by an FIA recognised ASN and MAM approval.

The Open Category rewards the top three teams with trophies and prize money: RM 3,000 for first place, RM 2,000 for second and RM 1,000 for third.

The winner for Virtual Sepang 1000km powered by Castrol is RR Turismo, and followed by Gladius Competition and V2A AES.
