Malaysians Douglas Khoo, Dominic Ang and Melvin Moh from Viper Niza Racing Team clinches a podium finish at last weekend’s (19-20 April 2025) Michelin 12 Hours of Spa Francorchamps in Belgium.

The team finished the race 6th overall (from 37 international drivers), 4th in GT3, and 2nd in GT3 AM, in a challenging race marked by incidents and mechanical issues. The 12-hour race was challenging in clear weather, starting with a Code 60 (full course yellow flag at 60 km/h) due to an incident on the first lap and ending on a Code 60 because of a collision just five minutes before the checkered flag. While competitors had a wet track during practice, the race was held in dry conditions on slick tyres at one of the fastest circuits in the world, measuring 7.004km with 19 turns. Viper Niza Racing Team finished the race with 261 laps.
“Spa-Francorchamps has been good to us,” said lead driver and Viper Niza Racing Team Principal Khoo. “We ran a solid race, stayed focus and despite having our fair share of scares on track, did our best to steer clear of trouble. Credit must also go to the team who prepared a strong and trouble-free car (Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo).”
The race featured 10 different manufacturers and 37 cars competing in five main classes. In their class, Viper Niza Racing’s Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo went up against cars like the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo, Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II, Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo, Ferrari 296 GT3, and Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo.
Finishing on the podium at Spa Francorchamps marked the team’s second consecutive win there in just two races. All three drivers had previously won the PRO/AM class at the first-ever TCR SPA500 (500 laps) race with a Seat Cupra TCR DSG during their first visit to Spa Francorchamps in 2019.
This success at Spa complements their earlier win in the GT AM Masters class and a second place in the GT AM class at the Motul 12 Hours of Sepang in March.
Next, the Viper Niza Racing Team will compete in the Michelin 12 Hours of Misano in Italy from 23-24 May 2025.
In 2025, the team is supported by Motul, along with sponsors like Endless & Momentum Autoparts, IWC as its Official Watch Brand, and Jen Orchard Gateway Hotel in Singapore.
