Vespa Day 2024 was recently held in Malaysia on 29th June at The Landing KL (KL Base), Sungai Besi, celebrating iconic Vespa scooters while bringing together enthusiasts, collectors, and the public for a day of camaraderie and excitement. The event featured a Vespa Parade with 2,000 scooters cruising through Kuala Lumpur, displaying classic vintage to modern innovations. Attendees also marveled at the vintage and modern Vespa displays, showcasing the evolution and timeless appeal of the Vespa design. Live music and entertainment, food and beverage stalls, and family-friendly activities added to the festive atmosphere.
Event Highlights:
- Vespa Parade: The streets of Kuala Lumpur came alive with the vibrant sight of 2,000 Vespa cruising through the city. The convoy started at The Landing KL and made its way to Dataran Merdeka, brought together riders from all across the region in spectacular display of classic vintage to the latest innovation of Vespa.
- Vintage Vespa Display: Attendees marvelled at the collection of vintage Vespas, tracing evolution from 1958 model to contemporary limited-edition models. The display was a testament to Vespa’s timeless appeal and design excellence
- Modern Vespa Display: The complete range from 300cc to 125cc displayed all around the event. Special highlight was the New Vespa Sprint & Primavera 2024 which are a harmonious combination of timeless, state-of-the-art design and the latest technological equipment, pleased to gratify each unique personality. So, whatever you choose, there is the right Vespa for you.
- Live Music and Entertainment: The festive atmosphere was enhanced by live performances from local bands and entertainers, adding to the vibrancy of the day.
- Food and beverage Stalls: Attendees enjoyed a variety of delicious food and drinks from local vendors, further fostering the community spirit that Vespa Day embodies
Special guest Mr. Simone Niccolai, Managing Director of Piaggio Asia Pacific, and partners shared their passion for the iconic scooter, adding depth to the celebration. Vespa Day paid tribute to Vespa’s Italian style, innovation, and freedom since 1946, inspiring a vibrant global community. The event aims to celebrate Vespa’s heritage and culture, uniting enthusiasts to share their joy and passion.
