Cambodian superstar rapper VannDa will release a trilogy of mini-albums entitled TREYVISAI (Khmer for “The Compass”), with the first installment dropping on 14 March 2025.
TREYVISAI I: The Search for Light offers high-energy flex tracks like “Out of My Mind”, “Me, My Flow, and I”, and “Fishing” which have already emerged as fan favorites during the exclusive listening party experience in Aeon 3 Main Hall in Phnom Penh on January 24th and 25th. This mini-album creates a joyful and celebratory mood while also suggesting deeper themes for future releases.
The lead track “Smoke Up” features Thai rap icon YOUNGOHM, highlighting a key moment in Southeast Asian Hip-hop by merging the styles of two major rap artists over VannDa’s unique production.
YOUNGOHM expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “When VannDa reached out, it felt like the perfect fit. I’ve followed his career and really respect what he’s built. ‘Smoke Up’ was a natural collaboration, and I’m excited for our fans in Thailand, Cambodia, and beyond to experience it.”
VannDa echoed this sentiment, saying, “I have a lot of respect for YoungOhm—he’s a versatile artist who can do so many things, just like me. When we hung out, I felt a kindred spirit. I hope this collaboration shows the world what Southeast Asia can bring to music. This is a step in the right direction for my career and for the region.”

On 21st March, the trilogy continues with TREYVISAI II: Burn Like the Sun. This mini-album explores themes of chaos and conflict, featuring both intense rap and emotional songs. A highlight includes a collaboration with Laotian Star, Thinlamphone, on the track “Lovesick Blue,” which has already connected with fans.
The final part, TREYVISAI III: The Return to Sovannaphum, will be released on 1st May. This album represents VannDa’s journey of finding his identity and purpose, mixing his past with his future. Following the success of his global hit “Time to Rise,” this release invites fans to join him on the next step of his artistic journey. By combining traditional Khmer music with modern sounds, this album captures Cambodian music’s essence while pushing new boundaries.
In collaboration with Tiger, VannDa will host concerts titled TREYVISAI Legacy Concert on 3rd Mayin Battambang and TREYVISAI Sovannaphum Concert on 17th May in Phnom Penh. Tiger is also the main sponsor of Rapper Cambodia Seasons 2 & 3, showing their commitment to the future of music in Cambodia.
