Tiger Beer’s Tiger Town making its roar in KL and Penang for 2026 CNY celebration

Tiger Beer kicked off the Chinese New Year (CNY) with its Tiger Town festival, also announced that it is now expanded to Penang. The event launched at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre, showcasing the brand’s 敢敢冲 (Dare to Charge Forward) spirit. Running in Kuala Lumpur until 25 January, it will then move to Gurney Paragon Mall in Penang from 13 to 15 February.

The ceremony featured a ceremonial gong strike by HEINEKEN Malaysia’s management, Tiger rockets, firecrackers, and a lion performance blessing the new year. Tiger Town reimagines CNY with live music, interactive challenges, and a local market under one festive space.

Notable performances include groups like 3P and Joe Chang, delivering a joyful soundtrack for the celebrations. The festival also presents themed games to foster teamwork and friendly competition, alongside a market developed with Lesgo Market.

Additionally, Tiger x atmos: Spirit of the Tiger collection fuses Japanese calligraphy with streetwear style, embodying the 敢敢冲 spirit. “Tiger Town is about starting the year with courage,” stated Julie Kuan, Marketing Manager of Tiger Beer Malaysia.

Tiger Town is open at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre until 25 January 2026, and at Gurney Paragon Mall, George Town, Penang, from 13 to 15 February 2026.
