The Last of Us Season 2 announced at CES 2025; sets to premiere on April 2025

The Last of Us Season 2 was officially announced during Sony’s press conference at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025. Co-creator, writer, and executive producer Neil Druckmann announced that the seven-episode second season will debut this April, and Malaysian fans can watch it on HBO (Astro Ch 411 / Unifi TV Ch 401) and will be available to stream on Max.

Five years after the first season, Joel and Ellie face conflict with each other in a world that is more dangerous and unpredictable than before.

Returning for second season are Pedro Pascal as Joel, Bella Ramsey as Ellie, Gabriel Luna as Tommy, and Rutina Wesley as Maria. Previously announced new cast includes Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Isabela Merced as Dina, Young Mazino as Jesse, Ariela Barer as Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Spencer Lord as Owen, Danny Ramirez as Manny, and Jeffrey Wright as Isaac. Catherine O’Hara also guest stars.
