Poh Kong was deeply honoured to with the presence of Duli Yang Maha Mulia Tengku Permaisuri Hajah Norashikin, D.K., S.P.M.S., S.S.I.S., S.P.M.K., Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, for the official launch of the Anggun ‘Pesona Tanjung’ series. The launch took place at Poh Kong’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Shah Alam.
The ‘Pesona Tanjung’ series is a new chapter for Poh Kong’s Anggun collection, celebrating the elegance and strength of women across Asia. Inspired by Selangor’s state flower, the Bunga Tanjung, it embodies nine petals representing unity, purity, and resilience, showcasing the blend of Malaysia’s heritage and Poh Kong’s craftsmanship.
Hosting the event at its manufacturing headquarters highlighted how local production fosters innovation and resilience. Established in 2001 with a RM30 million investment, the Shah Alam facility integrates technology and artisanal skill for quality design. Continuous upgrades maintain world-class standards while honoring traditional craftsmanship, complemented by a 4,000 square-foot training centre dedicated to nurturing local talent.

The royal launch featured an 8-minute showcase where models highlighted the five floral inspirations of the Anggun collection, including the new ‘Pesona Tanjung’ series in a narrated fashion performance. This segment clearly showcased the cultural roots and modern artistry of the collection, emphasizing how Malaysia’s traditions influence today’s designs and craftsmanship.
