iQIYI International has announced that its new historical fantasy drama “Sword and Beloved” 天地剑心, featuring Cheng Yi and Li Yitong, will premiere exclusively on iQIYI International on 25 October 2025.
Produced by iQIYI International, with support from Yuewen Pictures and Stellar Media, the series is directed by Du Lin and written by Miu Wenjing and Ding Ya. Besides the main stars, the cast also includes Guo Junchen, Zhang Zhiyao, Tan Kai, and Fan Ming in special roles. The story focuses on faith, personal growth, and the courage to protect what is right.
In the drama, Wang Quan Fugui (played by Cheng Yi) is raised to be a powerful weapon against demons. Under strict family rules, he struggles with the question — “Why do I hold the sword?” After facing many challenges and inner battles, he learns to confront his fears and understand the true meaning of his “sword heart.” His journey is not just about being a hero but also about self-discovery and awakening, changing him from a confused young man into a protector of all.
“Sword and Beloved” also features a group of heroes working together for justice. Wang Quan Fugui’s awakening is helped by his demon friends, creating connections beyond race and self-interest.
