Sony Xperia 10 VII now available in Malaysia; introduces new design, shutter button, Circle to Search, Gemini and many more

Sony Malaysia has confirmed the Sony Xperia 10 VII are now available for the local market. Its refined design features upgraded capabilities like a dedicated camera shutter button for quick access, an expansive display, improved front-facing speakers for immersive entertainment, and a two-day battery life. Users benefit from extended security updates and a longer warranty for OS upgrades, ensuring peace of mind for long-term use. The Xperia 10 VII also includes Circle to Search with Google and Google Gemini.

As this feature is usually reserved for flagship, Xperia 10 VII’s special ‘shutter button’ on the side lets you open the camera app and take pictures with just one press. Even if your screen is locked, you can quickly open the camera by pressing and holding the button, so you won’t miss any important moments.

You can take bright and clear photos, even in low light, because of the new larger sensors. The 16mm lens has a 1/3-inch sensor, while the 24mm lens now has a 1/1.56-inch sensor, which is about 1.6 times bigger than before.

The two rear cameras offer three different focal lengths (16mm, 24mm, and 48mm) for a variety of shots. You can capture everything from an ultra-wide 16mm view to a standard 24mm, or zoom in closer with the 48mm lens.

The Xperia 10 VII features a long-lasting battery that can endure for two days, ideal for extended trips when charging isn’t an option. Its “Adaptive charging” technology protects against battery degradation over four years. Additionally, it offers six years of security updates and up to four OS version upgrades for prolonged use. Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, it ensures smooth performance without lag.

Xperia 10 VII also comes with Circle to Search, allowing you to instantly search anything you see on your phone with Google. Circle, highlight, scribble, or tap any image, video, or text to search, without switching apps. Quickly get the info you need, then get right back to what you’re doing. 

You can also use the Google Gemini on the device, which can help with writing, planning, learning and more. You can instantly access Gemini on your Xperia 10 VII by pressing and holding the power button.

Sony also introduces a new 19.5:9 aspect ratio with 120 Hz refresh rate on the Xperia 10 VII display. It is also spots a newly designed front-facing speakers with reduced cabinet vibration suppress noise and reproduce richer, deeper sound quality with enhanced bass and mid-bass ranges. 

The Bluetooth® transmission power has doubled compared to the previous model for a more reliable connection. During AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) connections, the device adjusts sound quality to prioritize connectivity in crowded or unstable environments, enabling users to enjoy content viewing anywhere.

The Xperia 10 VII features a lightweight (168g) and sleek design, enhanced for better viewing and comfortable handling. It boasts a revamped rear with a new camera layout and a smooth matte texture. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, offering exceptional drop and scratch resistance for durability. Users can personalize their device with the optional cover, allowing them to include their favorite stickers and photos.
