Sony Malaysia is partnering with PPB Properties to invite photography lovers to explore Penang at the Penang Heritage Photography Fiesta 2026, held at New World Park, Penang, on Sunday, 18 October 2026.
Returning for its fifth edition, the Penang Heritage Photography Fiesta celebrates the unique people, culture, and everyday moments of Penang. This year, participants will engage in a Photo Hunt, challenging them to capture human stories and vibrant details throughout the city.
More than just a competition, the Fiesta promotes creativity, learning, and discovery, uniting photographers of all skill levels who share a passion for visual storytelling.
In collaboration with Sony Malaysia and PPB Properties, the event encourages Malaysians to explore creativity and celebrate Penang through photography. Participants can tell their stories of Penang through the images they create, showcasing its people, traditions, and architecture.
Participants will have a chance to learn from experienced visual storytellers Vincent Thian and William Ooi, who will share their knowledge and experiences in photography.
For those wanting to try out Sony imaging technology, a limited number of Sony cameras will be available for loan during the Photography Fiesta.
The competition will have two categories – Youth and Open, allowing both new and seasoned photographers to showcase their creativity and storytelling skills.
Winners will receive various Sony prizes, with the Grand Prize winner getting a Sony ILCE-7CM2L/B camera kit. Winners in both the Youth and Open categories can also win the ZV-e10K Vlog Camera and the WH-1000XM6 Noise-Cancelling Headphones, encouraging participants to capture great images of Penang.
