Shell Malaysia has launched the Shell Recharge App, giving customers an easier, more secure, and more reliable way to locate and pay for EV charging across Malaysia.
The new Shell Recharge App brings to life a range of features that will elevate the EV charging experience:
- Quick Payments: Link a debit or credit card for quick and easy payments.
- Reserve & Recharge: Reserve a charger in advance to ensure it’s available upon arrival.
- Cross-Border Roaming: Charge at Shell Recharge sites across Malaysia and Singapore using the same app, a unified platform that enhances convenience for cross-border EV travel.
- Live Charging Updates: Track your charging sessions easily as this app provides you real-time updates.
- Find a Charger Easily: Find the nearest available chargers, to help you plan your route with ease through the in-app site locator
This launch builds on Shell’s progress in expanding its Shell Recharge network, which includes Malaysia’s first North to South, and East Coast to West Coast high-performance charging (“HPC”) corridor, and the highest altitude EV charging hub at Genting Highlands. The network designed to support long-distance and interstate EV travel in Peninsular Malaysia underscores Shell’s commitment to providing greater convenience and peace of mind for Malaysian drivers.

During the announcement of the app, the company also launches their latest Shell Recharge HPC at Bukit Jalil TPM, solidifying its commitment to provide faster charging experience for Malaysian EV owners.
