The new Buds2 Pro are also slightly lighter and compact size (Samsung is claiming 15% smaller and each buds weights at 5.5 g) when compared to the previous generation, allowing comfort and better ergonomics when wearing for a long time.

Audio – Hear the bass and clarity

While this is not a full review, after using it for few days, I felt the audio experience from the Galaxy Buds2 Pro has definitely improved on the bass and clarity. Also, the volume on the Buds2 Pro is loud as well. This year, Samsung also added 24-bit Hi-Fi audio on the Galaxy Buds2 Pro. However, to use the feature, you need a Galaxy device with One UI 4.0 or higher and 24-bit audio support may vary depending on the application.

There is also the new Intelligent 360 Audio which delivers sound that feels more realistic. The 360 Audio with Direct Multi-channel (5.1ch / 7.1ch / Dolby Atmos) and enhanced head tracking make every movement stay in sync — creating an immersive experience. 360 Audio can even pinpoint the direction of the sound as you move your head, giving you the spatial experience.

ANC and ambient mode – ANC works fine, ambient mode still sounds amazing

Samsung also stated that the Galaxy Buds2 Pro has Intelligent ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) where it uses 3 high SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio) microphones to tracks and eliminates more outside sound — even soft sounds like wind. The ANC did worked fine for me during the my first few days of trying it, however, more details about the ANC when the review comes out.

The previous Pro model has an excellent ambient mode and Samsung keeps the momentum strong over here as well. You definitely can hear the surrounding sound as the real thing with the Galaxy Buds2 Pro. You definitely have to experience it if you’ve the chance.

Battery – Pretty good for ANC users

In the battery life department, Samsung has claimed that Buds2 Pro is capable to last 5 hours of continuous playtime with ANC on and up to 18 hours with the case. While I still haven’t able to push the battery performance to the limit, I have tried using the earbuds with ANC turn on while napping for around 3 hours, it still works fine.

Other features – Enhancing the premium wireless earbuds experience

The Buds2 Pro also packs numerous features such as IPX7 rating, Bluetooth 5.3, SmartThings Find (With/Without Case), Voice detect, Fast Pairing pop-up and Auto Switch. With these features, you know now why the Galaxy Buds2 Pro is a premium wireless earbuds.
