Samsung has officially revealed the Galaxy Tab S12 Series, Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Tab S12+. Both latest Galaxy premium tablet feature immersive displays and come bundled with the ergonomically designed S Pen for effortless note-taking and precise editing. With easy access to professional-grade apps and versatile accessories, users can pursue their passions and progress toward their goals with ease.
“The Galaxy Tab S12 Series is designed for people who are constantly exploring new ideas, developing new skills and bringing their ambitions to life,” said Jay Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Experience Office, Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics. “Built with industry-leading hardware, the Galaxy Tab S12 Series pairs an expansive screen with the power of Galaxy AI — removing friction from complex tasks so users can stay focused on achieving impactful results.”
Peak Performance in an Ultra-Thin Design
The Galaxy Tab S12 Series offers strong performance and long battery life in a lightweight design, helping users do more wherever they go. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, at just 5.1mm thick, is Samsung’s slimmest tablet yet and provides exceptional performance to support users all day. For instance, someone taking an online course can catch up on lessons during their commute and work on assignments later at a café or library.
Both models are designed for endurance, with battery life lasting up to 23 hours on the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and 21 hours on the Galaxy Tab S12+. When it’s time to recharge, the battery can go from 0% to 100% in about 95 minutes with a 45W adapter, minimizing waiting time.
The Galaxy Tab S12 Series features the most powerful performance in any Galaxy Tab, capable of handling demanding tasks. The latest 3nm processor offers up to 61% faster processing speed than the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. This means users can work on complex tasks quickly and efficiently, whether they are editing videos or taking notes during lectures.
A new 3D Vapor Chamber helps keep the tablet cool during heavy use, whether for video editing or graphic design. The Galaxy Tab S12 Series is built to be durable, featuring IP68-rated water and dust resistance for added security.
With an expansive screen, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has a 14.6-inch display, which is great for examining detailed topics. The Galaxy Tab S12+ has a 12.6-inch display with thinner edges, providing more screen space without losing portability. Both models include Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays that can shine up to 1,600 nits, ensuring clear visuals both indoors and outdoors. The enhanced Vision Booster automatically adjusts brightness based on surroundings for comfortable viewing.
Sound quality is improved with 4-channel spatial audio, providing a richer experience for streaming, tutorials, or editing content.
Building on a strong hardware base, the Galaxy Tab S12 Series turns its large screen into a versatile workspace, making it easy to manage different tasks. It runs on Android 17 with One UI 9 and the latest Galaxy AI, combining research, note-taking, creation, and AI help in one place. This offers users the freedom to explore new ideas, capture important information, and apply what they learn.
With the Galaxy Tab S12 Series’ immersive screen, users can split their display into three sections with the Multi Window feature. For instance, users can take notes in Samsung Notes on one side, watch a lecture on another, and use an AI assistant on the third. As important points or questions come up, they can jot them down with the S Pen directly in Samsung Notes, and Note Assist will summarize their notes— all without stopping the lecture.
Both models include an ergonomic S Pen for precise and easy note-taking, annotating materials, and sketching ideas. For a more organized workspace, the Book Cover Keyboard Slim offers comfortable viewing angles and a smooth typing experience, along with the Galaxy AI Key for quick access to AI assistants.
The Galaxy Tab S12 Series helps users gather information and get immediate support whenever curiosity strikes. It comes with a six-month trial of Google AI Pro, providing access to some of Google’s best AI models from the start. Users can ask Gemini questions or delve deeper into topics as they arise. With Gemini Notebook, users can combine notes, images, recordings, and files in one space to create summaries, podcasts, and quizzes that make information easier to understand.
The Galaxy Tab S12 Series features pre-loaded apps that enhance productivity and creativity. Adobe Photoshop offers professional image editing with AI-powered tools, including four months of free access to its mobile plan. Notability assists in organizing notes with a six-month free trial, while Goodnotes provides a year of free access for efficient note-taking. LumaFusion allows for professional video editing with a significant discount, and Notion offers one month free of its Plus plan for planning and organization. Clip Studio Paint supplies digital art tools with a six-month trial. Additional apps include MyScript Math and MyScript Notes for solving equations and summarizing notes, Noteshelf 3 for customizable layouts, and ArcSite for turning sketches into CAD drawings.
