Samaiden awarded RM100.75 Million EPCC Contract for 27.60MWac Solar Plant in Pasir Mas, Kelantan

Samaiden Group Berhad (Samaiden) has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Samaiden Sdn. Bhd. (SSB), has accepted a Letter of Award (LOA) from GVU Fajar Timur Sdn. Bhd. (GVU) for the EPCC works of a 27.60MWac solar photovoltaic (LSSPV) power plant in Pasir Mas, Kelantan.

The RM100.75 million contract covers the design, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning of the solar PV facility. Approved by the Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) in December 2024 under the Large Scale Solar 5 (LSS5) programme, this project is a significant milestone in Samaiden’s portfolio of utility-scale solar developments.

The project commenced on 26 May 2025, upon signing the LOA, with on-site works starting once all contractual conditions are met and notice to proceed is issued by GVU. The facility aims for a Commercial Operation Date (COD) by 24 July 2027.
