Japan’s music sensation Number_i has recently released their new EP, GOD_i on 19 May 2025. The collection features the focus single “Frisco” alongside previous hits like “GOD_i” and “HIRAKEGOMA”.
Number_i, consisting of Sho Hirano, Yuta Jinguji, and Yuta Kishi, will make their North American festival debut at Head In The Clouds on June 1 in Pasadena, CA, after previously appearing at Coachella 2024. The title track “GOD_i” debuted at #1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 chart, produced by Yuta Kishi. Its message emphasizes courage and features a melancholic melody with an addictive chorus.
“HIRAKEGOMA,” a new-style pop tune with catchy phrases and powerful beats, appears on the powerhouse trio’s 2024 debut album No.I, translating to “open the door” in Japanese. Other tracks showcase versatility, like “ロミジュリ,” a classic funk jam, and “i_Dog” and “Psycho,” featuring a harder edge.
