The partnership was signed during a contract signing ceremony with three teams: PETRONAS Sprinta Yamaha 31 Racing, PETRONAS Sprinta Yamaha CKJ, and PETRONAS Sprinta Yamaha Maju Motor.

The partnership aims to develop young Malaysian motorcycle racing talents and fuel their future, as Red Bull aims to provide energy and passion to individuals. The teams will compete in Round 3 of the PETRONAS MAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship 2024 from June 1st to 2nd.

Andy Lee, Co-Country Director of TCP Red Bull Malaysia, said the partnership represents a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and the spirit of competition.

The PETRONAS Sprinta Yamaha 31 Racing Team, established in 2009, aims to be one of the best racing teams globally, focusing on RIDE, RACE, and LEAD. The team has won numerous accolades, including the Overall Wira KBS Category Championship titles in the PETRONAS MAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship for four consecutive years. The PETRONAS Sprinta Yamaha Maju Motor Racing Team, established in 1997 by former rider Yong Ying Hoe, is driven by achieving exceptional outcomes and guarding the record for the most significant number of championships clinched in the PETRONAS MAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship.

In conjunction of the partnership, Red Bull is set to launch a contest allowing two lucky winners to own a limited-edition Yamaha Y15ZR motorcycle signed by selected riders from the three PETRONAS Sprinta Yamaha Racing Teams.
