Qualcomm officially announced Snapdragon 7s Gen 3

Qualcomm has officially unveiled the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 Mobile Platform, expanding the capabilities of the 7-series for a wider range of users.

This new platform boasts on-device generative AI support for LLMs like Baichuan-7B and Llama 2, along with cutting-edge mobile gaming experiences powered by the Qualcomm Adreno GPU. It also delivers professional-grade camera features such as 12-bit triple ISP and 4K sHDR. According to Qualcomm, the chip has nearly 20%  improved CPU performance thanks to the latest Qualcomm Kryo CPU, up to 40%  accelerated GPU, over 30% better AI performance and 12% overall power savings.

Chris Patrick, senior vice president of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., emphasized that the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 will bring top 7-series features, including on-device AI support, to more mid-tier devices. Xiaomi will be the first to adopt this platform, with the first device set to be announced soon. Meanwhile, other leading OEMs, including Realme, Samsung and Sharp are expected to announce the adoption of Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 in the coming months.
