PUBG MOBILE Version 4.0 Update delivers haunted thriller themed and others until 4 Nov 2025

PUBG MOBILE has announced new features in its Version 4.0 Update. Available until 4 November 2025, players can enjoy Spooky Soiree gameplay, explore haunted mansions, team up with ghoulish creatures, and experience new items and challenges for a fun, eerie adventure.

A Spook-tacular Themed Mode

The Version 4.0 Update features the Spooky Soiree mode on Erangel, Livik, and Rondo. Players can partner with Ghostie, a ghost companion, who has one main skill and two passive skills, chosen from various options. Recent map updates introduce skills like Floating Balloon, Guardian Shield, Boost, and Ghost Helm. Players eliminated can turn into Prankster Ghosts, using abilities like Bomb, Scan, and Shield until their energy depletes.

New gameplay elements include the Magic Broom, a two-player flying vehicle with attack capabilities, and the Haunted Sight, allowing quick zoom switches with fun voice lines and animations. Erangel and Livik welcome Wraithmoor Mansion, filled with supernatural decor, and Scaredy Ghosts that reward players when attacked. Additionally, a ghostly rock concert will occur mid-match where players can earn rewards and hints about nearby enemies.

Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Vibes

To celebrate seasonal traditions, the Version 4.0 Update introduces themed locations in Erangel and Livik. The Moonlight Festival Checkpoint offers an Eastern pavilion on water under the full moon, where players find Mid-Autumn Mooncakes that restore Health and Energy. From October 20 to November 2, the Day of Gathering Checkpoint adds skulls and marigolds, along with Day of Gathering Chocolate that replenishes health and energy.

World of Wonder Incentive Program

The latest update introduces World of Wonder 1.0, enhancing creator access and enabling players to design and share unique content. To support this community, WOW cash incentives have increased, with a total prize pool of $10 million. Top creators can win $200,000, and over 100,000 creators are expected to earn incentives in 2025. Additionally, the new WOW Pass system allows players to earn points and free rewards by completing missions. Upgrading the Pass offers extra customizations and perks, with a portion of the earnings reinvested into the World of Wonder Incentive Program, boosting the cash prize pool for creators.

Metro Royale Updates

Metro Royale Chapter 28 in Version 4.0 introduces new collectibles and Metro Royale Solo, allowing 1v1 challenges from the Lobby. Ghost Crates randomly appear in Classic maps, offering valuable items for sale. The Metro Royale Weekend Market opens every Friday to Sunday, allowing players to sell select items at higher prices. Starting September 13, all talents will be temporarily unlocked each weekend for players to try. Exciting new collaboration bosses are also on the way – stay tuned!

New Items in Classic Mode

Classic Mode receives exciting updates that enhance combat and immersion. A new Mortar weapon gives players a powerful way to attack with direct fire or long-range strikes. Realistic Reloading adds tactical depth, simulating reload mechanics across multiple weapon types, while updated pistol animations enhance authenticity. Some weapons now gain an extra round when reloading tactically. Improved recoil transitions make weapon handling smoother, and foregrip and stock adjustments offer more strategic choices for attachments. Players can also find new interactive swings and a Ferris wheel in Lipovka’s seaside park on Erangel, ideal for a quick break between battles.

Halloween Theme in Home Mode

The latest update introduces exciting new features to Home Mode, including the Lunar Castle Home Style, themed Lucky Spin, and a new Craftsman’s Pass. A Blueprint Installment Plan allows players to pay in installments for Home blueprints, along with updates to the Mysterious Merchant and Home return crates. This season also features two new gameplay modes: Treasure Hunt, where players use Home Coins for missions and rewards, and a Parking Lot Gameplay season for showcasing vehicles and earning Parking Tokens.

System Enhancements

Alongside system updates like quick crosshair switching for 4x scopes and custom MVP badges, the Version 4.0 Update introduces the Super Smooth graphics option for higher FPS, less lag, and reduced power consumption on select devices.

New Season Kicks Off

Version 4.0 marks the start of Cycle 9 Season 26, introducing new legendary items, tier rewards, and exclusive honors. The Firearm Combat Power system launches, allowing players to accumulate Firearm Combat Power in Ranked Classic Mode (Crown tier and above) and Ultimate Royale matches, with global and regional leaderboards to showcase top competitors. Participants can unlock exclusive Firearm Combat Power titles, highlighting their skills and achievements. Path of Glory will also launch, enabling players ranked Ace and above to earn new exclusive honors, including MVP Badges, dynamic nicknames, and more.

Introducing UNFAIL Mode

Another new launch during the latest update is UNFAIL, which offers pursuit and escape themed asymmetrical competitive mode previously announced at gamescom 2025. Each match consists of five players: one powerful Predator versus four Survivors with the Predator possessing formidable abilities to hunt down and eliminate the Survivors to win. To claim their victory, the Survivors must cooperate to hold off the Predator as they activate terminals and escape through an exit gate.

Kaiju No.8 Collaboration

Version 4.0 brings Kaiju-sized action to PUBG MOBILE from September 5th to 30th. Players can add character sets for Kafka Hibino, Reno Ichikawa, Mina Ashiro, Kikoru Shinomiya, and Soshiro Hoshina, each featuring unique idle animations. A transformation mechanic allows players to become Kaiju No. 8, complemented by a themed melee weapon and two firearms that can be upgraded.

Events offer opportunities to unlock the Kaiju No. 8, No. 9, and No. 10 sets, alongside themed vehicles like the Kaiju No. 10 Buggy and Kaiju No. 9 2-Seat Motorcycle. Players can drop in style with the Kaiju No. 8 Parachute, while additional rewards include themed buddies, ornaments, helmets, backpacks, avatar frames, and more, enhancing the PUBG MOBILE experience.

Clucking New Event

The new Crazy Chicken Day event comes with Version 4.0. Players can join the fun in PUBG MOBILE each week for extra rewards. Through Rank Rush, squads can climb leaderboards with Ranked Team-Up Rating Protection, bonus points, and no tier limits. Players in any mode enjoy double likes, Synergy, and EXP, and completing two matches unlocks three-day Weapon Trial Cards. Additionally, some players who complete team-up missions will be randomly selected for bonus cash rewards each week.
