PUBG MOBILE has announced a collaboration with the Malaysian band MASDO, part of Warner Music Malaysia. This partnership combines MASDO’s unique retro sound with the new features of PUBG MOBILE‘s Version 3.7 update, which marks the game’s 7th anniversary and introduces its largest map, Rondo.
The collaboration was officially launched by Dinesh Ratnam, Managing Director of Warner Music Malaysia and Singapore and Adil Hisham, Product Manager (Malaysia) for PUBG MOBILE, together with MASDO.
Adil Hisham, Product Manager (Malaysia) for PUBG MOBILE, expressed his excitement about the collaboration; “We’re thrilled to partner with MASDO and Warner Music Malaysia to bring this unique throwback experience to our players. This collaboration perfectly captures the spirit and nostalgia of PUBG MOBILE‘s Version 3.7, offering the retro sounds of the past with the exhilarating gameplay of the battlegrounds .”
The inaugural track “Bertemu Kembali” was released on 14 March 2025, coinciding with the PUBG MOBILE Super League (PMSL) SEA Spring 2025 Grand Finals at the IOI Grand Exhibition Centre, which attracted around 2,000 visitors, and featured Malaysian teams finishing 3rd and 5th.
“Bertemu Kembali” has over 1 million views on social media and will be available on major streaming services like Apple Music and Spotify via MASDO’s official channels. The music video released on 24 March 2025.
The collaboration’s future is bright, with MASDO set to produce a second song for PUBG MOBILE, scheduled for release during Malaysia’s Merdeka celebrations in August 2025. Responding to popular demand, a MASDO Voicepack, featuring the voices of Ali, Mawi, and Ceri, will be introduced into the game. Furthermore, “Bertemu Kembali” will be added to PUBG MOBILE permanently and free for all players.
