Teenage karting champion Katrina Ee is set to make her official car racing debut this weekend, April 5-6, at Donington Park for round one of the 2025 Ginetta Juniors Championship. At just 15 years old, the Malaysia-Hong Kong racer, an Asian karting champion, will be the first of her heritage in the championship and the only female among 28 drivers.
Ee will race under Tim Gray Motorsport, driving the #13 G40 Junior Evo. She has spent the past two months preparing with her team and training physically with Hintsa Performance as part of the More than Equal Driver Development program.
Having competed in karting across Asia since 2019, she aims for a long-term career in motorsport, and this championship will offer vital learning as she works towards her goal of entering Formula 4.
Donington Park, the iconic motorsport circuit, will feature a mix of fast and slow corners. Round one includes a 20-minute qualifying session on Saturday morning, followed by three races throughout the weekend. Fans can watch the races via the Ginetta TV livestream.
