Propel Global bags RM70 million for civil and structural works for data centre

Propel Global Berhad announced that its subsidiary, Propel CMT Sdn. Bhd. (“PCMT”), in joint venture with China State Construction Engineering (M) Sdn. Bhd. (“CSCEM”), has received a Letter of Acceptance from a Singapore-based multinational company for an initial civil and structural works package for a data centre in Johor Bahru.

The contract, worth approximately RM70 million, is set to complete in the first half of 2026. It includes provisions for potential subsequent phases that may raise the project’s total estimated value to around RM325 million.

She added: “The global data centre industry is evolving rapidly, driven by rising demand for green and energy efficient facilities. Propel Global’s entry into the data centre space is fully aligned with our renewable energy ambitions, positioning the Group at the intersection of two major trends, the digital economy and the energy transition, a future we are actively pursuing.”
