POCO has officially launched POCO F8 Ultra and POCO F8 Pro at a global launch event in Bali, continuing to offer extreme value through high-performance technology and are now available in Malaysia.
During the event, POCO announced a partnership with Bose to integrate Sound by Bose technology into the new F8 Series, enhancing mobile audio quality. Additionally, POCO introduced two new tablets, the POCO Pad X1 and POCO Pad M1, expanding its AIoT ecosystem for young audiences to connect and explore technology.
POCO F8 Ultra: The Ultimate Flagship Statement
Leading the new POCO F8 Series, the POCO F8 Ultra is a next-generation flagship with a dual-chipset architecture that combines the Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5 and upgraded VisionBoost D8 chipset for enhanced performance. Its premium sound experience features Sound by Bose technology, delivering immersive visuals, pro-level photography, and trendy design.
The POCO F8 Ultra, among the first to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, boasts an AnTuTu score over 3,944,934. With features like Smart Frame Rate up to 120 FPS, Super Resolution up to 1.5K, and Game HDR, it optimizes gaming performance, including AI Super Resolution for top titles. In tests, an RPG game sustained 4.5 hours of play at 120 FPS with visuals unaffected.
WildBoost Optimization reduces power consumption and heat while enhancing stability in gaming with a 1% low frame rate monitoring system. During a 2-hour FPS gameplay at 120 FPS, it maintained an average frame rate of 119.65 FPS and a 1% low frame rate of 89.71 FPS, consuming only 3897.27 mW.
LiquidCool Technology ensures stable performance during extended gameplay with its effective 3D dual-channel IceLoop system for efficient heat dissipation.
Sound takes center stage in the POCO F8 Ultra with a mobile audio system using Bose Technology. In collaboration with POCO’s engineering team, Bose developed a premium triple-speaker system featuring a 2.1-channel architecture, delivering rich bass, clear vocals, and an immersive soundstage.
The partnership offers two sound profiles: “Dynamic,” for deep bass, and “Balanced,” for pure vocals, enhancing audio for gaming, streaming, and music.
The POCO F8 Ultra introduces the POCO HyperRGB display, utilizing a full RGB subpixel structure for better visual clarity and 19.5% lower power consumption compared to its predecessor. The global debut of M10 luminescent material increases luminous efficiency by 11.4%, supporting all-day DC dimming and ultra-low brightness of 1 nit for comfortable viewing. The large 6.9-inch screen and narrow bezels enhance the immersive experience for reading, video, and gaming.
Bringing professional-level photography to match its high performance, the POCO F8 Ultra features a 50MP Light Fusion 950 sensor with OIS. This helps in capturing images with great detail, even in difficult lighting, while saving battery life for longer shooting sessions.
It has a large 1/1.31″ sensor with bigger pixels, making it 43% more sensitive to light. Combined with a high-quality 1G+6P lens setup and a careful multi-coating process, it reduces lens flare and glare, resulting in clearer images with detailed shadows and highlights. The outcome is sharp images, perfect for capturing sunsets and night portraits.
The phone also includes POCO’s first 50MP 5x periscope telephoto lens, which offers 5x optical zoom, 10x in-sensor zoom, and up to 20X Ultra Zoom. This is great for distant scenes and close-ups from just 30cm away. The Motion Capture feature helps keep fast-moving subjects clear when zooming in. During the event, POCO introduced its AIoT lineup with two new tablets: the POCO Pad X1 and POCO Pad M1, aimed at enhancing both work and play experiences.
