It is official as Google Malaysia has announced the Pixel 10a will be made available for the local market. One of the key highlights for the device is the Pixel exclusive features and best-in-class camera system available for just RM2,299, which are an incredible accessible price point.
The Pixel 10a now received a refined smooth design with a completely flat back with the camera bar blends seamlessly with the back of the phone. This design language allows for easy slips in and out of your pocket, and lies perfectly flat wherever you place it. It is also designed with sustainability in mind, which includes for the first time recycled cobalt, copper, gold and tungsten. It has a satin-finish 100% recycled aluminium frame and an 81% recycled plastic back cover.
Pixel 10a comes in four colour options: Lavender, Berry, Fog and Obsidian.
Durability for the Pixel 10a now includes IP68 water and dust protection and durable materials, along with the Corning Gorilla Glass 7i cover glass on the display for better scratch and drop resistance. Google also adds the 6.3-inch Actua display for the 10a, which is also 11% brighter than Pixel 9a.
It charges faster than the Pixel 9a with 30W fast charging and 10W wireless charging, offering over 30 hours of battery life and up to 120 hours with Extreme Battery Saver on. The battery size is 5100 mAh. The Pixel 10a includes seven years of OS updates, security, and Pixel Drops. Additionally, it features Satellite SOS for the first time in the A-series, allowing you to reach emergency services without Wi-Fi or cellular service.
For the camera department, the rear camera features a a 48MP main camera and a 13MP ultrawide camera. You can capture crisp details up close with Macro Focus and in low light with Night Sight. On the front, a 13 MP front camera will capture your stunning selfie. For video recording, the rear cameras can capture up to 4K 60fps while the front camera only max out at 4K 30fps.

Plus, you can use Google Photos to edit just by asking with AI. You can either type the changes you want or just say them to your phone. Now, Add Me can support both small and large group photos — so you can include your cousins, aunts, uncles, great-grandparents, and even your dog in the family reunion picture, and then add yourself to it!

Pixel 10a is powered by a custom-built Google Tensor G4 chip, allowing a total access to Gemini — your personal AI assistant. You can do things like use Gemini Live to have natural, back-and-forth conversations. Or play with Nano Banana to reimagine your photos, blend images together or apply different creative styles to make them your own. You only get 8GB RAM with 128 or 256GB internal storage variant to choose from.
You can also use other AI-powered features like Circle to Search to learn more about anything on your screen by simply circling, tapping or highlighting it. And Dialer features like Call Screen and Hold For Me save you time and help you avoid spammers.
Pixel 10a is available in Malaysia for RM2,299 starting 5 March 2026 at the Google Store and major carriers. Phone cases will be available in Lavender, Berry, Fog and Obsidian, and so you can match your case to your phone, or mix it up with fun color combinations. Plus, Google Malaysia is launching Pixel Buds 2a in two new colors, Berry and Fog, to complement Pixel 10a.
But, I still fear the series is still lacking in the local market awareness as review units are super limited and prioritises creators and influencers. Can I get a review unit for this year? Maybe not again with many excuses to prioritise “others”. Well, only time can tell when Pixel series gets more proper awareness in Malaysia, than to chase views and likes.
