Pavilion KL kicked off the celebrations with Diya Deepavali, inspired by the diya, which symbolizes hope, prosperity, and unity. The event was launched by Datuk Manoharan Periasamy, Director-General of Tourism Malaysia, and other important guests. The evening began with ceremonial lighting and drumbeats, followed by an amazing Indian Cultural show featuring performers from Anhad Studio, visiting Malaysia for the first time in 15 years.

To add to the festive cheer, Pavilion KL is showcasing a beautiful Kolam design at the Main Entrance until 26 October 2025. This centerpiece features intricate Mughal Princess artwork, celebrating traditional kolam designs and Indian craftsmanship.
Barbeque Nation, in collaboration with Anhad Studio, is hosting a special three-day Deepavali Festival that includes traditional puppet shows, live music, and interactive craft workshops, offering unique tastes from different regions of India. Each day has its own theme: Desert Rhythms, Colours of Traditions, and Royal Finale.
Food lovers can explore the Grand Trunk Road Food Festival at Barbeque Nation on Level 9 from now until 26 October 2025. The festival features authentic street foods like Pani Poori, Papdi Chaat, and desserts such as Jalebi and Ras Malai, all available at affordable prices. The festival also includes fun activities like a corner for handmade traditional bangles and henna art stations.
To celebrate this special occasion, Pavilion KL is offering exclusive rewards for Maybank Credit or Charge Card holders. Shoppers spending RM800 at specialty stores will receive a Baroque Crystalline Glass Serving Plate, while those spending RM1,500 will get a Gold Plated Glass Bowl Set.
During the celebrations, Pavilion Bukit Jalil is hosting Rangoli Deepavali – Together, Here from 9-20 October 2025. The mall will feature beautiful rangoli displays, showcasing colorful floral designs that celebrate creativity and tradition.
There will be stunning rangoli installations made by City University Malaysia students at various locations in the mall. Additionally, the Indian Cultural Bazaar will be set up, offering festive treats and gifts for everyone.
Families can enjoy weekend workshops at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, including Henna Art and Sand Art sessions, with a minimum spend of RM30. There will also be a traditional Indian food-making and tasting experience offered by India Gate.
Pavilion Bukit Jalil is offering Gift with Purchase rewards too. Shoppers spending RM400 will receive Parkson gift vouchers worth RM30, while Pavilion Privileges Members spending RM800 will earn fashion cash vouchers and an invitation to the special Rangoli Sand Art Workshop.
Meanwhile, at Intermark Mall, the Radiance of Heritage campaign runs from 7-26 October 2025, celebrating Indian culture with performances, workshops, and a Deepavali bazaar. Visitors can enjoy dance shows, henna art, and a Diya lamp decorating workshop, along with saree draping sessions and tea tastings.
