Four of Malaysia’s top esports racing talents will represent the country at the Asia Pacific Motorsport Championship 2026 (APMC 2026) from 23 to 25 October at the Bira Circuit in Pattaya, Thailand.

The team includes Nabil Azlan (24) and Iqbal Suji (28) in the Assetto Corsa category, while Ethen Low (16) and Raja Amirul Syauqat (22) will compete in iRacing. They secured their spots by finishing in the top two of their national qualifying events sanctioned by the Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM).
The quartet is an exciting mix of international experience, championship success, and promising youth as Malaysia aims to build on its impressive esports record.
Leading the team is Nabil Azlan, who is back at APMC and determined to improve on his silver medal in iRacing from 2025. This year, the 24-year-old is moving to Assetto Corsa, following a great season where he became the champion of the 2026 MAM Festival of Speed Esport Category. He is also the current champion of the 2025 Toyota GAZOO Racing Malaysia e-Racing Pro Class.
Joining Nabil in Assetto Corsa is Iqbal Suji, an experienced sim racer. Iqbal was a finalist in the 2023 Gran Turismo World Series Nations Cup and also reached the Asia Pacific Final of the FIA Rally Star program in 2023. His experience against top virtual racers will be valuable for his debut at APMC.
In the iRacing category, Malaysia will be represented by Raja Amirul Syauqat, who recently won the 2026 MAM eRacing GP National Championship. With his competitive background, Raja is eager to turn his domestic success into a strong performance at APMC.
Joining him is 16-year-old Ethen Low, one of Malaysia’s youngest esports talents. Despite his age, Ethen has already made a name for himself. A Toyota GAZOO RACING Malaysia Rookie, he currently leads the Rookies Championship and recently won in the Young Dreamers category at the 2026 Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia. Ethen’s selection is a big step in his racing career as he tests his skills against more experienced competitors at APMC.
The participation of these Malaysian esports athletes is supported by Esports Integrated (ESI) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KCS) through the Malaysia Esports Accelerator Program (MEAP).
Since the championship started in 2023, Malaysian drivers have won gold medals in both individual and team categories, showing that the nation is a strong player in esports.
The Asia Pacific Motorsport Championship is a multi-discipline competition where athletes from various national motorsport authorities compete for gold, silver, and bronze medals.
Hosted by the Royal Automobile Association of Thailand (RAAT), APMC 2026 is expected to attract between 250 and 500 competitors from 24 nations, competing in six motorsport disciplines.
