Affin Bank teams up with Heritage Motor Exchange Asia to host Asia’s inaugural collector car marketplace from 23-25 Oct 2026 at WTC KL

Malaysia is hosting the first-ever Heritage Motor Exchange Asia from 23 to 25 October 2026 at Merdeka Hall, World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTC KL). This event will showcase up to 50 classic cars and bring together collectors, car fans, and industry representatives from the region.

Presented by AFFIN Group, this event is themed “When Passion Meets Acquisition” and is branded as the “High-Octane October Sale.” It aims to create a clearer and more trustworthy marketplace for classic and collector cars.

Unlike traditional car shows, Heritage Motor Exchange Asia will use a 100-Point Judging System to assess vehicles based on their condition and authenticity of parts. Experienced judges, working with industry partners from Europe, will score the cars. These scores will be compared to historical market data to determine fair trade values.

The event will showcase six categories reflecting the history of car design: Vintage, Classic, Modern Classic, Contemporary Exotic, Luxury, and Performance collector cars.

Held in conjunction with WTC KL’s 40th anniversary, the event will feature five distinct elements:

  • Concours de Vente – A curated showcase of hand-selected collector vehicles undergoing live judging to establish their certified condition and market price ranges.
  • Concours d’Elegance – A celebration of automotive artistry, historical accuracy and restoration excellence, recognising collector vehicles for their craftsmanship and heritage.
  • Private Consignment Paddock – A premium commercial marketplace where collectors can trade verified vehicles on consignment with greater transparency.
  • Back From the Future – Bringing artificial intelligence into the collector-car experience, this segment will feature Mornine of AiMOGA an intelligent humanoid robot, serving as one of the on-site vehicle presenters.
  • Historic Motorsport – Icons are Forever – a display of iconic race and rally cars dating to as far back as the 70s.

Every vehicle that participates will get an official Valuation Certificate after a thorough grading process. Selected concours vehicles for sale will show their price ranges on their windscreens, giving buyers a clear reference for negotiations.

Elevating the private banking experience

Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah, President & Group Chief Executive Officer of AFFIN Group, said: “Heritage Motor Exchange Asia is an exciting addition to Malaysia’s collector-car scene, and we are pleased to be part of its inaugural edition. For many collectors, a classic car represents years of passion, an appreciation for craftsmanship and a legacy to pass on to future generations. At AFFIN, we understand that our clients’ interests extend beyond their financial portfolios. By drawing on expertise across the Group, we aim to support their financial ambitions while creating opportunities to pursue the things that matter most to them.”

The programme will include the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and PUSPAKOM to support financing assessments, vehicle inspections, ownership transfers, road tax issuance, and insurance. Financing approvals will depend on eligibility requirements.

Cycle & Carriage serves as the Anchor Heritage Partner, marking its 75-year relationship with Mercedes-Benz in Malaysia and Singapore, highlighting its history tied to the three-pointed star marque.

Curated by Andrew Suresh, with 30 years in the heritage-car field, this three-day event organized by the Collectors’ Consortium will unite regional collectors, wealthy investors, and car lovers. Visitors can also join educational sessions on vehicle inspections and the impact of component defects on market values.

“Southeast Asia’s collector-car market has long faced challenges around pricing transparency and access to reliable vehicle data. By combining a rigorous 100-point vehicle assessment with historical market transaction data, we aim to establish a clear and credible benchmark for valuation. This approach will help buyers make informed purchasing decisions, provide sellers with a transparent basis for pricing, and elevate trust and appreciation for collector cars across Asia,” said Andrew Suresh, Curator of Heritage Motor Exchange Asia.

The show starts on Friday, 23 October 2026, with a special preview for collectors and the media from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. After that, it’s open to the public until 10:00 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, 24 and 25 October, opening hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Ticket prices are RM23 for adults, RM16 for students, RM13 for senior citizens and people with disabilities, and RM66 for groups of three. Children under 12 get in for free. You can buy tickets online at www.cloudjoi.com/shows/7492-heritage-motor-exchange-asia-2026 or at the venue.
