Mothership launches new High-Performance Pickleball Ecosystem backed by Six Zero and A.I. Innovation in Jalan Ipoh, KL

Mothership, in partnership with Six Zero, has launched one of Malaysia’s most advanced pickleball facilities in Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur. This venue includes international tournament-standard courts with pro-grade surfacing, Selkirk nets, and professional lighting, enhanced by real-time A.I. performance analytics for structured training and competitive play.

This collaboration aims to elevate the game locally by combining Six Zero’s paddle innovation with Mothership’s structured player development, creating a unique experience for both aspiring athletes and enthusiasts.

“Our partnership with Six Zero is grounded in a shared ambition to raise the bar for pickleball in Malaysia and build a platform that can support national and regional excellence,” said Janet Teo, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Mothership. “We wanted to create a space where every player, from curious beginners to driven competitors, feels seen, supported, and challenged. With the right tools, the right environment, and the right people, we believe great things can happen. Partnering with Six Zero gives us the global strength and shared vision to take this mission even further,” she added.

As part of the collaboration, Six Zero has unveiled two new high-performance paddles designed for enhanced control and precision:

• The Black Opal, featuring a patent-pending floating solid core, Power Gel layer, and Shock Shield handle for balanced power and dwell.
• The Ruby Pro, built with a 12-gauge (mm) cell core, 45-degree Aramid fibre layering, and Diamond Tough texture to support explosive counters and elite-level play.

Available only at Mothership and Picklefox, these paddles allow Malaysian players to be the first to use Six Zero’s newest features. “We’re really proud to help Mothership shape the future of pickleball. It’s not just about great courts or fancy tools. It’s about creating a place where passion, purpose, and performance come together. Mothership is changing the game in Malaysia, and we’re excited to help grow the sport with them,” said Dale Young, Director and Founder of Six Zero Pickleball.

What makes this facility special is the LaunchPad Programme, Malaysia’s first organized talent development initiative for pickleball. Sponsored by U Mobile, LaunchPad aims to grow the sport from the ground up, providing players with a clear, data-driven path to improve their skills and advance. U Mobile plays a key role in supporting this by offering AI-driven performance analytics, using its 5G Office Broadband to help nurture future talent and encourage competitive excellence through innovation.

Supporting this vision is Leapmotor Malaysia, a fast-growing electric vehicle start-up in China. Leapmotor is dedicated to providing innovative and accessible transportation. This approach mirrors the smart and user-friendly vehicle, the C10, which shares the same spirit of innovation that drives the LaunchPad programme, helping individuals reach their dreams.

To celebrate the launch, Mothership will host its first official tournament on Saturday, 16 August 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The event has four competitive categories: Men’s Doubles Intermediate, Women’s Doubles Intermediate, Mixed Doubles Intermediate, and Youth Singles for ages 10 to 15. Players can win cash prizes, special merchandise, and vouchers totaling up to RM75,000. The top prize is a fully funded five-month elite training program under the LaunchPad system for the champions in each category.

Additionally, winners in the intermediate categories will get exclusive access to the new 2025 Leapmotor C10 for a one-month driving experience. Open every day from 7:00 a.m. to midnight, Mothership is both accessible and ambitious. Whether you’re a beginner trying out a paddle for the first time or a national athlete preparing for competition, every player can find support through leagues, clinics, and community events that build skills and friendships. Mothership is not just a facility; it represents a vision for the future of pickleball in the region. It connects grassroots participation with elite performance, based on global best practices and local enthusiasm.
