Mitchell Cheah and Naquib Azlan from Wing Hin Motorsports takes 3rd overall for Race 2 of Round 3 2024 Thailand Super Series Super Compact Class

Wing Hin Motorsports’ Mitchell Cheah and Naquib Azlan achieved a double podium finish in Round 3 of the Thailand Super Series Super Compact Class at the Chang International Circuit. They secured a 2nd overall finish in Race 1 on Saturday, followed by an exciting Race 2 filled with on-track action.

Starting from 8th on the grid, Naquib quickly moved up the ranks in the first lap but faced challenges that set him back. After some setbacks, he handed over to Cheah, who made a strong comeback, climbing to 2nd place in the final lap after some impressive driving.

In a thrilling battle for 2nd place, Cheah and the Toyota GAZOO Racing Thailand driver Norrarat Apivart exchanged positions several times. Ultimately, Norrarat’s straight-line speed gave him a narrow victory, crossing the finish line just ahead of Cheah. The YK Motorsports Honda CRZ pair claimed the race win, leaving Cheah and Naquib with back-to-back podium finishes.

Cheah described the race as an intense battle, acknowledging the strengths of their competitors while celebrating their own achievements. Despite the close competition, they were pleased with their performance over the race weekend, ending on a high note with two podium finishes.
