Mercedes-Benz EQA, an all-electric compact model from Mercedes-EQ, to be unveiled on 20th January

Digital World Premiere of the new EQA

The new Mercedes-Benz EQA will be unveiled via online on 20th January 2021 at 11:00 a.m. (CET). The Mercedes-Benz EQA marks the first time on the road in an all-electric compact model from Mercedes-EQ. The online show will feature three international influencers from the automotive, technology and lifestyle worlds report on their “first time moments” in the new EQA.

Marius Philipp (Product Manager EQA, Mercedes-Benz AG) and Jörg Bartels (Head of Integration Complete Vehicle, Mercedes-Benz AG) will present details and selected highlights of the new EQA. At the moment, full details of the EQA are scarce but Mercedes did dropped some information about it. EQA will be based on GLA platform and combines it with electric drive. In terms of performance, the EQA 250 has an output of 140 kW with power consumption combined of 15.7 kWh/100 km. Mercedes also confirmed there will be further power levels up to over 200 kW as well as a variant with all-wheel drive after the launch.

EQA is catered for young, urban target groups who prefers e-mobility. However, the electric SUV still can cater to a vast of drivers with the standard navigation system with Electric Intelligence. Mercedes claims the system calculates the fastest route to the destination, necessary charging stops, topography and the weather.

The compact electric SUV will be available at European Mercedes-Benz dealers in the spring of 2021.
