MediaTek’s latest launch event in Malaysia has officially announced its flagship Dimensity 9600 Pro and Dimensity 9600M mobile chipsets.
The launch event called “The Next Leap” featured the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro, a top mobile platform made using advanced 2nm technology. Its Native AI Architecture combines CPU, GPU, and ISP with AI features, leading to smarter AI, better gaming, improved camera capabilities, and smoother daily use. vivo’s new X500 series and OPPO’s Find X10 Series will be available soon in Malaysia and will be powered by the Dimensity 9600 Pro.
MediaTek showcased its products like the Dimensity 7400, 8500, and 8550, used in devices such as the Tecno Camon 50 Ultra, Xiaomi 17T, and OPPO Reno 16 Pro. The event featured a panel on AI, discussing how it can enhance smartphone responsiveness, efficiency, and user-friendliness.
Dimensity 9600 Pro features include:
- Improved Compute Performance: Features a 2+3+3 All Big Core CPU design, delivering faster, more responsive experiences and a 61% reduction in multi-core power consumption. This architecture consists of two C2-Ultra cores with clock speeds up to 4.55GHz, three C2-Pro big cores at 4.35GHz, and three C2-Pro big cores at 3.1GHz, delivering up to 17% higher single-core and 15% higher multi-core performance over the previous generation.
- Advanced AI Experiences: The Dimensity 9600 Pro’s dual-NPU architecture and Dimensity Agentic AI Engine power next-generation on-device AI, shifting AI from a passive responder to a proactive digital companion.
- Smoother Gaming: Integrating the G2-Ultra NX GPU, the Dimensity 9600 Pro delivers up to 27% higher peak performance, 24% lower power consumption and 18% faster ray tracing, enabling console-grade gaming at up to 185fps.
- High-quality Imaging: Dimensity 9600 Pro features the Imagiq 1290 ISP and AI Imaging Fusion Architecture, enabling advanced computational photography and content creation.

The Dimensity 9600 Pro, equipped with NPU 1090, offers 51% faster prefill performance and supports Google’s AISeal security, enabling quicker responses and improved privacy. Alongside it, the Dimensity 9600M maintains MediaTek’s flagship commitment, combining exceptional imaging, intelligent AI, and powerful performance for an elite user experience.
