SAIC Motor Malaysia is ready to deliver its locally assembled MG ZS in Malaysia at the end of October 2026, after previewed at the KL International Mobility Show 2026 (KLIMS 2026).
The new MG ZS comes in two versions: the MG ZS 1.5 Turbo and MG ZS Hybrid+. The estimated prices are RM105,000 for the Turbo and RM115,000 for the Hybrid+ (Peninsula Malaysia, excluding insurance). Customers who book one of the first 1,000 units before October 30, 2026, will receive benefits worth RM3,000 and enjoy five years of free maintenance.

The MG ZS combines stylish looks with practical features, making it a great choice for city life. It has a striking front design with special headlights, a sleek grille, streamlined shape, rear LED lights, a smooth spoiler, and modern alloy wheels.
As the biggest SUV in its class, measuring 4,430mm long and 1,818mm wide, the MG ZS offers a spacious and comfy interior with high-quality materials, extra headroom and legroom, and smart storage options. It also has a 443-litre boot space that can expand to 1,457 litres when the back seats are folded down, making it one of the most roomy cabins around. The cockpit features a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch touchscreen display for entertainment, and a 12.3-inch digital dashboard showing key driving information.
The MG ZS 1.5 Turbo runs on a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a power output of 170PS (125kW) and 275Nm of torque. It uses a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with front-wheel drive, ensuring smooth performance for daily driving. It also has a combined fuel efficiency of 6.9L/100km and a 55-litre fuel tank.
The MG ZS Hybrid+ is powered by a 1.83kWh battery and a 100kW electric motor, combined with a 1.5-litre engine, producing a total of 215PS (158kW) and 465Nm of torque. It has a three-speed Hybrid Transmission for a smooth driving experience, allowing for driving in electric mode up to 80km/h in the right conditions. It can go from 0 to 100km/h in 8.7 seconds, with an excellent fuel consumption of just 4.7L/100km and a driving range of up to 870km on a full 41-litre fuel tank.
All MG vehicles come with MG PILOT Driver Safety Technology, which boosts driving confidence and safety with several Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) 2.5 features, such as Intelligent Cruise Assist (ICA) and Driver Fatigue Monitoring System (DFMS). MG iSMART lets MG ZS owners control key car functions from their smartphones, including keyless entry.
The MG ZS is available in four colors: Flare Red, Silver, Andes Grey, and York White, featuring a premium all-black interior with perforated leatherette seats for extra comfort and support on any journey.
