McDonald’s Malaysia hosting Mekdi All Stars Kick Off: RMHC Malaysia Charity Match on 12 June 2026 at Stadium Merdeka; entrance is free

McDonald’s Malaysia has officially announced the Mekdi All Stars Kick Off: RMHC Malaysia Charity Match a special match that brings together national football legends, popular celebrities and thousands of fans in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities Malaysia (RMHC Malaysia).

The press conference took placed at McDonald’s Pantai Sentral Park Drive-Thru, as the charity match will take place on 12 June 2026, from 5.00pm to 10.00pm at Stadium Merdeka, with free entry for all visitors. The match will feature two special teams, Malaysia All Stars and Mekdi All Stars, come together for a night of entertainment, nostalgia and community spirit.

At the same time, attendees are encouraged to make voluntary donations to RMHC Malaysia at designated touchpoints around the stadium. Public donations will support children and families through health, education, and welfare programmes, including Ronald McDonald House and the Gift of Smile.

“Behind the excitement of this match, the main purpose is to support RMHC Malaysia in its efforts to help children and families in need. As a corporate partner and key supporter of RMHC Malaysia, McDonald’s Malaysia has always believed that every platform we create should bring value to the community, whether through food, joyful experiences or opportunities for Malaysians to share kindness,” said Dato’ Haji Azmir Jaafar, Managing Director and Local Operating Partner, McDonald’s Malaysia, and President of RMHC Malaysia.

“Football has a unique ability to unite Malaysians regardless of background. Through Mekdi All Stars Kick Off: RMHC Charity Match, we want to harness that spirit for a greater purpose, not only to watch a match, but to come together and do something meaningful for children and families in need,” he added.

McDonald’s Malaysia will enhance the fan experience by offering 10,000 free meal sets that include Chicken McNuggets, Coke, and Apple Pie. Additionally, McDonald’s SuperFans will gain exclusive access to the stadium’s VIP area. The event will also highlight its charitable mission by having players accompanied onto the pitch by children supported by Ronald McDonald House, emphasizing the impact of public contributions.

Visitors can enjoy various activities around the stadium, such as an interactive RMHC area, a McD App counter, games zone, fan activities, and food and drinks from different vendors.

Malaysia All Stars will showcase top football players from the country, such as Amri Yahya, Faisal Halim, Safawi Rashid, Norshahrul Idlan Talha, and Tan Cheng Hoe. Fans can relive Malaysia’s football glory and watch their favorite stars play again at Stadium Merdeka.

“Playing at Stadium Merdeka always carries a special meaning, especially when it is for a charitable cause. Malaysia All Stars may be made up of players with experience, but on that night, what matters most is not only the match result. We want to entertain the fans, bring back the spirit of Malaysian football, and at the same time encourage Malaysians to come together in support of RMHC Malaysia,” said Amri Yahya from Malaysia All Stars.

Challenging them will be Mekdi All Stars, made up of popular celebrities and influencers like Merqeen, Alvin Chong, MK K-Clique, and Tuju K-Clique. The team will mix entertainment and sport, bringing energy and excitement to the charity match.

“When it comes to experience, Malaysia All Stars certainly have the advantage. But do not underestimate Mekdi All Stars. Our team has energy, creativity and the spirit to give it a go. We will try to put up an entertaining challenge, and most importantly, we want fans to come in large numbers to support RMHC Malaysia,” said MK K-Clique from Mekdi All Stars.
