McDonald’s Malaysia 9th edition Teacher’s Day campaign honour teachers with special performances and heartfelt appreciation

McDonald’s Malaysia has recently hosted the ninth edition of its annual Teacher’s Day campaign, held at McDonald’s Bandar Sri Damansara DT, honoring teachers who play an important role in shaping communities and the nation.

Almost 200 teachers from Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (C) Damansara, Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (C) Desa Jaya 2, Sekolah Menengah Jenis Kebangsaan Chong Hwa, and Sri Bestari International School enjoyed a special day of appreciation. The event included lively performances, fun activities, special celebrity guests, and tasty McDonald’s meals, creating a festive atmosphere. Teachers received special treatment, heartfelt gestures, and an experience that celebrated their essential contributions.

“At McDonald’s Malaysia, we are more than just a restaurant – we are a place that connects people, families, and communities,” said Dato’ Haji Azmir Jaafar, Managing Director and Local Operating Partner of McDonald’s Malaysia. “Teachers are at the heart of every community, shaping young minds and helping build a better future. That’s why we are committed to celebrating and appreciating them in a very special way that we can.”

McDonald’s Malaysia’s Teacher’s Day campaign runs throughout May 2025, celebrating educators from over 300 schools nationwide. Events are held at selected restaurants and schools, highlighting the brand’s commitment to community engagement.

As part of this initiative, McDonald’s Malaysia will contribute RM40,000 to selected schools to enhance staffrooms, creating a better environment for educators. Since 2017, McDonald’s has celebrated Teacher’s Day annually, distributing 500,000 meal vouchers to educators in 2019 and 2022. Now in its ninth year, the campaign underscores McDonald’s dedication to recognizing educators across the country.

This initiative is part of Program Komuniti @ McDonald’s, which focuses on long-term community engagement. McDonald’s Malaysia organizes over 10,000 annual activities that support families in need and appreciate teachers and frontliners.

“Through celebrations like these, we hope to deliver more than just meals – we want to create delicious feel-good moments that bring communities closer,” added Dato’ Haji Azmir. “Teachers are the heart of every neighbourhood, and we are honoured to play a small part in celebrating their passion and dedication.”
