Astro has introduced Max, Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming service, on its Ultra and Ulti connected boxes, enhancing the viewing experience for customers. Subscribers of the Astro Movies Pack, Astro One Epic Pack, and Max app add-on will enjoy seamless access to vast content through their boxes.
Max offers popular movies, series, and shows from well-known brands like HBO, Harry Potter, the DC Universe, Discovery, AFN, Cartoon Network, and HGTV, all in one app. The Max app is now available on Astro’s Ultra and Ulti connected boxes, allowing customers to easily browse and stream their favorite content without switching devices, enhancing convenience for Astro users.
Customers of the Astro Movies Pack, Astro One Epic Pack, and Max app add-on can upgrade to the Max Ultimate plan for an additional RM18/month* for a better streaming experience. Other Astro customers can subscribe to HBO channels via the Max Standard or Ultimate plans at RM33.90/month* or RM51.90/month*, featuring titles like Dune: Prophecy, The Penguin, The Big Bang Theory, Friends, and the full Harry Potter collection. Subscribers can also enjoy new premieres on Max such as The White Lotus season three, Suits LA, and The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, along with upcoming seasons of The Righteous Gemstones and The Last of Us.
To use the Max app on the Ultra/Ulti Box, customers should press “Home” on the Astro remote and pick the app from the “Apps” section. They will follow the on-screen instructions to pair their Max account with the Astro Box by scanning a QR code and logging in. Once done, they can enjoy a variety of content easily!
Astro One Packs can be customized with simple add-ons like over 12 popular streaming apps, including Max, Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, Viu, iQIYI, WeTV, Zee5, Simply South, and more. Customers can easily change their subscriptions through the My Astro app, allowing them to update their packs, switch add-ons or streaming services, or pick new ones whenever they want.
